Coal Town Furnace & AC Ltd. is a growing HVAC company seeking a dependable, customer-focused Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. Our installers play a key role in ensuring a positive customer experience from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, garage heaters, gas lines, hot water tanks, on-demand water heaters, and fireplaces
Experience installing all appliances is not required and we are willing to train the right candidate. - Perform start-up and commissioning of installed equipment
- Work collaboratively with an apprentice
- Maintain and care for a company work vehicle
- Communicate clearly and effectively with office staff and team members
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing residential HVAC systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working alongside and mentoring an apprentice
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly, and prioritize effectively
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Previous troubleshooting/service experience an asset
- Hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License
Preference will be given to candidates with Journeyman certification in plumbing, gas fitting, or sheet metal.
Position Details
- Permanent, full-time position
- Three-month probationary period
- Flexible schedule: 4–5 days per week, averaging 40–44 hours
- Overtime available through a rotating winter on-call schedule
- Must be able to reliably commute to Coleman, including in winter conditions
Compensation
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- $39–$45+/hour for Journeyman installers
- Benefits package available after 3 months
- Paid bi-weekly
